getting started with custom letterpress

there's something timeless and romantic about letterpress printed invitations. each piece is done by hand on centuries-old machines, transforming paper into a reflection of each couple's personality. 

letterpress invitations have a memorizing, tactile feel to them. your fingers can trace the precise impression of letters against soft, handmade paper. what a way to celebrate your joyous occasion.

we offer many wedding suites to serve as starting points for your invitations - each portion of these invitations can be customized, from colors to paper to foil to edging. additions like wax seals and twin provide even more options to express yourself.

in addition to our suites, our designs will also work with you to create a completely unique design. if you have custom art, we can incorporate it, or work with you to design something special.

the process:

1. get inspired! review our suites and options, and get in touch if oblation papers & press fits your custom letterpress needs.
   
   
2. request an in-store consultation if you are in the portland area to see the suites in person, request a quote, or find a representative with our wedding book near you. additionally, you can always order paper and suite samples to get a literal feel for the invitation options.
   
   
3. once we've received your quote and 50% deposit, you will be put in contact with a dedicated designer from the oblation team!
   
   
4. refine your custom letterpress design order until they are perfect! then sit tight and wait for a proof.
   
   
5. once approved, your invitation design will be sent to our printing press and assembly team!

generally, from start to finish, this process takes four weeks from the initial consultation to receiving your finished invitations. rush service is available upon request.
